COMPANION CARE
Companionship
Our team of caregivers provides companionship to seniors who may feel lonely or isolated. This can include engaging in conversation, playing games, or accompanying them on outings.
Companion care services are designed to offer non-medical support and companionship to individuals who require assistance with daily activities but do not need medical attention. These services are typically provided by trained caregivers who are not licensed medical professionals but are licensed as Home Care Aides by the State of California.
Companion care services encompass a wide range of tasks, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, running errands, transportation to appointments and social events, and medication reminders. Caregivers who provide companion care services also frequently engage in social activities with their clients, such as playing games, reading, and participating in hobbies and other interests.
Companion care services can be provided on a part-time or full-time basis, depending on the needs of the individual receiving care. They are often utilized by seniors who live alone and would benefit from social interaction and assistance with daily tasks. Additionally, individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions who require help with daily tasks but do not need medical care can also make use of these services.
Our personal caregivers offer assistance with activities such as:
-
Conversation
-
Playing game
-
Accompanying them on outings
Caregivers who provide companion care services typically receive training to offer emotional support and create a positive and engaging environment for their clients. They may also receive specialized training to provide assistance with specific conditions, such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
